We welcome you to a MultiLEAP webinar to learn more about racial landscapes as well as cultural and linguistic soundscapes of the [diver]city.

Mélodine Sommier’s (JYU) presentation will touch upon the connection between race and urban space, particularly how race can be perceived to materialize in cities. The presentation will present some key concepts and insights from testimonies of racialized women. JYU Visiting fellow from Queen’s University Belfast, Yecid Ortega’s talk will engage with complexity theory and discuss how languages and cultures are not siloed but synergic entities that interweave and live together bringing life to communities by providing spaces for learning and understanding others.
