MultiLEAP webinar 13 – How might posthumanism contribute to research of (multi)literacies?
September 28 @ 13:00 - 14:00
We welcome you to a webinar to learn more about Päivi Jokinen’s PhD research (Jokinen, 2022). In their work, Jokinen aimed at a rethinking of the habitual and taken-for-granted understanding of literacies by connecting with the posthumanist ontological turn. In the context of migrant education of 16 children, aged from 6 to 13, the research explored and speculated what else might also be happening within (multi)literacies as a phenomenon. With Deleuze & Guattari’s assemblage/agencement as the most important analytical concept, the study employed a postqualitative methodological approach for feeling and sensing the emergent, embodied, and affective dimensions of literacies. In their talk, Päivi Jokinen will share the unfolding of the research process, emphasising the literacy perspective.
