Our guests represent the DIALLS research project:
Tuuli Lähdesmäki (PhD, DSocSc, Docent) works as an Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Jyväskylä. She is the PI of the JYU’s partnership in the DIALLS project (Dialogue and Argumentation for Cultural Literacy Learning in Schools), funded by the EU’s Horizon2020 Research and Innovation Programme.
Susanne C. Ylönen is a postdoctoral researcher of Art Education at the University of Jyväskylä. Her postdoctoral research project on the convergences of disgust and cuteness has been funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation. In DIALLS, she has contributed, among other things, to the collection of wordless picturebooks and the analysis of student-made artifacts.
Aino-Kaisa Koistinen is a postdoctoral researcher in Contemporary Culture Studies at the University of Jyväskylä. She holds an MA in Literature (University of Oulu), PhD in Contemporary Culture Studies (University of Jyväskylä), and Title of Docent in Media Culture (University of Turku). She has recently published on, e.g., feminist environmental pedagogy and the possibilities of art in teaching empathy and intercultural dialogue.
Katja Mäkinen (PhD in Political Science, MA in Art Education, Docent) is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Music, Art and Culture Studies at the University of Jyväskylä, specializing in conceptual and ethnographic research on citizenship, participation, identities, cultural heritage and EU policies.
